The Prilosec Company can be described as a medical device company. They are the leading manufacturer of the personal care products associated with the treatment of diseases, including nasal congestion, sinusitis and arthritis. The company has been providing these products to the health care industry since the early 1980s. This brand offers an array of different skin care products. One such product is called TheraCrest. This is a non-surgical wrinkle reducer that helps to reduce lines and wrinkles on the face.
Prilosec Lawsuit
This is a medical device that helps to remove wrinkles from around the eyes by softening the facial skin and reducing the puffiness in the eye area. It has been designed so that it takes the pressure off the eye area to reduce facial wrinkles. Prilosec has introduced this product into the U.S. markets as TheraCrest. This can be described as an over the counter wrinkle reducer. This is not a medical device. Prilosec LLC, the company that manufactured the product, has brought the lawsuit against L’Oreal America and the Pet Products Manufacturer.
L’Oreal America is a defendant in this lawsuit that was filed by the plaintiff’s attorney.
The case has been filed against the pet product manufacturer because they failed to warn consumers that the products used in their production contained lead that could be very dangerous to young children. This particular case involved a number of plaintiffs who became ill and had to undergo surgery after using the products. Several lawsuits have been filed against L’Oreal and they have settled in the past.
In the current case, the plaintiff’s attorneys have alleged that Prilosec advertised and marketed its TheraCrest product without telling consumers that there were lead hazards associated with using the product.
When the plaintiff’s attorney learned of this, they sent out numerous cease and desist letters to L’Oreal America asking them to remove the product from the shelves of Wal-Mart stores. A few weeks later, a settlement was reached.
The date of this lawsuit is not yet scheduled.
No decision has been made on whether or not Prilosec will settle out of court. They are also facing a class-action suit that claims they failed to warn their consumers about the danger of using the TheraCrest foam pads. Prilosec is also facing a lawsuit for failing to properly list the ingredients in their ProFusion product.
The plaintiff’s attorney is seeking damages for the personal injuries that were sustained while using the products.
These injuries have led to missed work and reduced earning capacity. They are also claiming punitive damages for pain and suffering. Prilosec has counterclaimed several million dollars in medical bills and lost pay. They have yet to file their Answer for the lawsuit. The case is expected to go to trial at some point in the future.
